15 November 1937 – 8 July 2014

It is with profound shock and sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Gordon, a truly devoted family man; husband to Eileen and father to Stephanie (Steven), Nicholas (Aria), Kord (Courtney) and his beloved grandchildren, Nyla and William. Also left to mourn is his extended family in England.

Gordon touched the lives of many, and graced us with a quick wit, tremendous work ethic and a willingness to assist perfect strangers when necessary. He was an incredibly snappy dresser and a truly handsome gentleman. It can be widely agreed that he and Mum were a formidable team.

It is with heartfelt gratitude that we thank Dr. Matt Robinson and the caring nurses of ICU and 7North (Jubilee).

A celebration of Gordon’s life will be held at McCall’s Funeral Home on Friday, July 18th at 2:00pm.

Love you forever, Dad – you are a true GEM.

Condolences may be offered to the family below.

I can’t say how sorry I am to hear of Gordon’s passing. A complete surprise to me. I will never forget the laugh and the smile that seemed to never leave his face. It seemed to make him happy to throw little shots at me when I would come in and even liked when I would throw them back. He is one of those special people you don’t forget as you go on with our lives. So sorry Eilleen, Steph, and Nick.

We will always remember Gordon as one who wore a constant smile – that is if he wasn’t laughing. He truly gave his time and effort to those who needed it. • Glenn, Sarah, Chloe & Ben Chard

Our love and thoughts are with you all out there. Uncle Gordon was one of those larger than life characters from my child hood, who, along with uncle Tony taught me all the bad habits that I still have (I have had to stop tooting the car horn & waving at pretty girls as I am far too old for that now!). He introduce me to classical music & jazz which I still love, I just wish I had inherited his dress sense! He will forever be in my memories, and it is a very great shame Sarah, Chloe and Ben didn’t have the privilege of meeting him. All our love, Glenn & co x
