It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of Joe Reda who died suddenly at home in Victoria at the age of 81. Joe was born in Carolei, Italy. Joe immigrated to Victoria, BC in 1953. He will be forever loved and missed by his wife Laura of 59 years and son Louie. He leaves behind his brother Frank (Evelyn) in Victoria, Ralph (Fiora) in Toronto and numerous nephews and nieces from Victoria, Toronto, Montreal and Italy. Joe worked for The University of Victoria as a carpenter for over 25 years. His passion was gardening and carpentry.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am, Monday, March 30, 2015 at SACRED HEART CHURCH, 4040 Nelthorpe Street, with Reverend Fr. Dan Gurnick, OFM officiating. A Visitation will be held at 10:15 am. Entombment to follow the service at Royal Oak Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, #107-1001 Cloverdale Ave., Victoria, BC V8X 4C9 http://www.heartandstroke.bc.ca or a charity of choice.
