Dr. May was my doctor till his retirement. He was so humble and kind. As a child he made many house visits to care for me. He cared for my whole family. He helped me help my dad with his health when he was smoking very heavily and his cough would rattle the whole house hold. Their was a time when my hands were so infected with staff infection in the open wounds of my exema, that he took this very seriously. With his huge caring heart helped to see my great suffering and healed me with his firm but sensitive manner. I never had the chance to thank him. SO here goes , ”Thank you Dr. May for caring so much. Thank you for all the many house calls and for helping my family and all the other families. You always went above and beyond the call of duty. You have earned a place where there is only Peace and Love. May God Bless you and your family. With my condolences, Janice Macklem (McQuirter)

  • Janet Dillabaugh (nee Hamilton)

It is with much sadness that I saw Gerald May’s obituary. As my family physician I held him in high regard. He came through for me when I needed him most, was very efficient and he had a kind gentle way of dealing with people. I remember returning home to Victoria, having been down in Dallas Texas where I had had a miscarriage with insufficient medical care and went to see him. Within hours he had me in hospital and dealt with it that evening. I was so grateful . On behalf of my deceased father and mother who is currently in care with dementia, I would also like to pass on their condolences. Dr. May looked after everyone in our family extremely well. I will never forget him.
My sincere condolences to you Mrs. May and respective family members at this sad time. I wish you all well.
Sincerely Janet Dillabaugh (The Hamilton family)

Dr. May was wonderful to us after the loss of our identical twin daughters who died shortly after their premature birth in 1965. Our sincere condolences in your time of grief. Kindest regards.
