Gail Lucille Allen was born on April 24th, 1947 in Washington, D.C. She entered heaven on September 22nd, 2015 following a brave battle with cancer. Gail was daughter of William Attix Allen and Grace Allen and sister to Bruce Allen and Joyce Russum. She lived in California and attended De Anza Junior College and later married Ronald Spence in 1968 and relocated to Victoria, BC before daughter Victoria was born. Gail trained as a Home Support Attendant and specialized in live-ins and Paliative care until she retired in 2012. Gail was a devoted mother and grandmother (to Kezia, Yemima and Keren). Always very supportive she frequented dance classes, pageants and all school activities. Gail was also a long standing member of Emmanuel Baptist Church. She has been an inspiration of faith and hope to many and her smile and laughter will always be remembered.
Service will be held at Emmanuel Baptist on Wednesday, October 7th at 1pm. Her family asks that in lieu of flowers contributions be made to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation.
