Mom’s family and Sunday dinners, her home of 76 years, taking the bus on Fridays to Wisp and Wave Hair Salon, shopping at Sears, and lunching at The Apple Tree – were the center of her being. We are incredibly thankful for her 98.5 years with us and will always reflect the enduring legacy of love she leaves with her family.  Much appreciation to friends Dianne Gait and Perfecta Tubio for their outstanding care of both Mom and her home.  A sincere ‘Thank You!’ for the outstanding, compassionate care during Mom’s stay in The Water View Unit of The Gorge Road Hospital.

A Memorial Celebratory Tea will be held on Friday, June 19, at 3:00 pm at McCall’s Downtown, Johnson & Vancouver Streets.  In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the BC Cancer Foundation.

I was a good friend of Donna’s when we were young. I loved coming over because Mrs. Ross you made the most delicious oven baked macaroni dinner. I remember when Cecil gave Donna the old Ford Galaxy and we went to Vancouver together. I would always say ,”Donna your mom has the most beautiful skin.” Mrs. Ross you always made your house a home and were the classiest lady that raised to beautiful and very talented daughters. After Cecil passed at a young age, you went on carrying the torch for your children and grandchildren. Not a day goes by when I don’t think about what an amazing women I thought you were as I would drive by Donald street and reminisce my child hood at memories at Donna’s house. I could always rely on a quiet peaceful home where there was so much love in the air. Thank you for being a part of my life journey Mrs. Ross, I am so happy you can now be with Cecil and Donna. MAY GOD BLESS YOU! Love, Janice McQuirter ( Macklem)

I can’t believe that your Mom is no longer with us, Sherry! I have known her for almost as long as you have. I spent many an early morning, especially during our junior high school years when we had to walk about a mile to school, sitting on your couch in the kitchen awaiting you. All during this time, while your Mom was making your lunch (I had to make my own!) consisting of peanut butter and pickle or banana sandwiches, I would listen to her urging you on with such phrases as ‘Brenda is here waiting for you’, ‘Sherry, please hurry up’, and ‘Brenda is getting tired of waiting for you’, which really meant ‘would you hurry up, so that I can go back to bed’! I will miss her kind words, beautiful face and smile, and her devotion to specially you in all that you did–you had a great Mom. I will lovingly think of you, Mrs Ross, forever. And, I will be thinking of you, Sherry, and Tom and family this coming Friday, when my thoughts and cares will be with you. Love from both of us to you all, Brenda and Glen
