Florence was born on March 29, 1934 in Cape Town, South Africa and passed away in Victoria, BC on February 3, 2015.  She was the daughter of John Buckenjohn and Florence Mary Buckenjohn and was one of 8 siblings:  John, Edna, Victor, Millie, Sylvia, Myrtle and Olive.  She attended a private catholic high school for girls.  Her sister, Olive became a WWII War Bride of Dick Elders from London, England.  Her mother and sisters, Edna, Myrtle, Sylvia and herself decided to join them and arrived in London in 1950.  Florence met her husband, Manfred Wissemann, Petty Officer, German Air Force, under NATO Command visiting from Germany in London in 1960 and married six months later in a Christian church in Celle, Lower Saxony, Germany.  They returned to London for three years and decided to immigrate to Victoria, BC in Canada in 1963.  Florence worked as a Comptometer Operator and joined her husband in business in Victoria from 1968 to 1974.  Florence and her husband moved to Coombs, BC in 1974, worked together in business until 2003.  In 2007, Florence was diagnosed with Mitochondrial Myopathies and died peacefully with her beloved husband, Manfred and daughter, Sharon by her side after seven years of suffering.  Our love for each other will bind us forever and eternity.

A Funeral Service will be held at St. Mathias Anglican Church, 600 Richmond Avenue in Victoria with the Reverend Bryant-Scott officiating on Saturday, February 7, 2015 at 1:00 pm with a burial to follow at Royal Oak Burial Park.   A reception at the church will follow the burial.  Condolences may be offered to the family below.
