June 17, 1925 – September 10, 2015

Our beloved mother, Florence Edna (Floss) passed away peacefully at Hospice, surrounded by her loving family.  Born and raised in Victoria, Mom celebrated her 90th birthday with family and friends on a lovely spring afternoon.  Predeceased by her husband, Arnold in 1981, and sister Jean in 1974.  Greatly missed, by her three daughters; Diana (Brent), Dale (John), Barbara (Craig), and niece Andrea (Garry and family).  Grandchildren: Nicole (Greg), Jennifer (Mark), Courtney (Scott), Clayton (Amanda), Gregory, Rick and Caitlin.  Great-grandchildren: Presley, Payton, Judah, Quinnah, and Mackenzie.  Mom loved being around her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and cheered them on at all their sporting events.  They in turn loved being around GG and their devotion to her, especially during these last few months, was something that she truly loved and cherished. She was excited and hopeful to be able to welcome her sixth great-grandchild due in December.  Mom and good friend Doreen enjoyed more than 20 years vacationing in Hawaii.  She enjoyed playing cards with her lady friends and a good game of crib with her grandchildren as recently as a couple of weeks ago!  Mom was very thankful having Rip and Flo as her wonderful neighbours for the past 47 years. The family is very grateful for the care and kindness provided by the Palliative Care and Hospice staff.

No service as per Mom’s request. If desired donations may be made to a charity of your choice. Condolences may be offered to the family below.

Diana, Dale and Barb. So sorry to hear about your Mum. I have so many fond memories of her in her back yard and with my Mum and Dad. My Mum would scould her about not wearing her gardening gloves. My Dad totally enjoyed the pears from her tree. One of the last memories I have of my Dad.

We are saddened to here of your Mom’s passing. Auntie Floss was one of my favourite people. I cannot remember seeing her without a smile on her face. She always had a kind word for everyone and was always interested in what was going on with my children. Our Christmas Eves together so many years ago were always a highlight of my growing up. It is always sad to say goodbye to someone , but it must have been wonderful to have her with you for such a long time. Our thoughts are with you.
    Love, Ken & Mary Jackson
