YOUNG Esther

15 January 1933 – 22 November 2009

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear Mother, after her courageous battle with cancer. Esther was predeceased by her beloved husband Jack, with whom she will once again be reunited. Esther is survived by her five loving children, Keith Miller (Pat), Bruce Miller, Doug Miller (Gail), Cindy Moylan (Rick) and Laurie Michael (George); her six wonderful grandchildren and one great – grandson. No service by request. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Victoria Hospice Society, 1510 Fort Street, Victoria, BC V8S 5J2.

    She was one of the organizers of our neighbourhood BBQ held every year & was well known for helping anyone who needed it. She was a great lady who would give you the shirt off her back if she thought it would help you. Her beef barly soup was delicious as I found out when she brought some to the house when I was unable to cook as I had just had surgery.
    The braveness with which she faced her prognosis was exceptional & I know that you are very proud of her.
    Rest in peace Esther. You deserve it.

    Dear Cindy and family:

    On behalf of the Stewart family please accept our sincere condolences during this difficult time. I remember Ester fondly during the times at the DRA. I know she will be laughing and singing with Jack and our Dad Alex.
    May your memories of your mom bring smiles to your faces as we are now doing as we remember our dad.

    We want to express our sympathies for your loss.
    She has always been Aunty Esther to me for as far back as I
    can remember. I will miss her, as will many others.
    She faced everything that was given her and carried on.
    You should be very proud of her and remember her strength always, as I know I will.
