May 2, 1925 – January 10, 2015

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved father, grandfather and great-grandfather.  Murray died peacefully in Victoria, B.C. on January 10, 2015 at the age of 89. Murray was the 4th of 6 children born to the late Bert and Pearl Falloon of Foxwarren, Man. He is survived by his sister Margaret Murray in Gilbert Plains.  Cherished memories will remain in the hearts of his wife of 61 years, Elsie; his two sons Les (Sue) Falloon in Victoria and Ken (Barb) Falloon in Souris; his grandchildren Carrie, Robert, Christopher and Lindsay and 5 great-children. Falloon, Elmer 2- web

Murray worked as a station agent/operator with the Canadian Pacific Railway for 38 years. He raised his family in Foxwarren, then worked in Souris from 1972-1975, and finished his career in Binscarth.  He retired in 1984 and lived in Russell until moving to Victoria in 1990.

Murray was a fun person to be around and always had a new joke to share. He was an active participant in community events during his time in Foxwarren, Souris and Russell. He particularly enjoyed coaching local minor hockey teams, curling or golfing with his buddies, and having a pint with his many friends. He was known as Grandpa Candyman to his grandchildren.  Murray remained kind, gentle and stoic to the end.

Interment of Murray’s ashes will take place at the Zion cemetery, near the family farm in Foxwarren, Man. when the flowers bloom in the Spring.
