She will be remembered lovingly and greatly missed by her family and the many friends she has left behind.

We would like to thank all the medical staff who showed great kindness to Joyce.

As per Joyce’s wishes, there will be no service.

My deepest sympathy to family and many good friends. I met Joyce in 1963 when posted to St. Hubert,,she remained a faithful friend for over 50 years. May we all take comfort and strength in our many enjoyable memories of Joyce during this time of sadness.

  • Lloyd & Evelyn (Osland) Jeck

Joyce was a sharp-minded, kind hearted lady whom we met through her Aunt, the late Lillian McIntosh. A friendly email communication, based on the topic of bridge, was carried on for a number of years. Our condolences go out to family and friends.

  • Alison Fawcett

My mom (Doreen “Reenie” Fawcett) and I are so sorry to hear about Joyce’s passing. Haven’t seen Joyce in many, many years, but used to enjoy reading her Christmas letters! I can also recall being a kid and going on a few excursions with Joyce, my mom, and my Godmother (Candy Kielly). Sincere condolences to her family.

  • Dr. David Ward and Office Staff

We were so very sorry to hear of Joyce’s passing and send our condolences to her family and friends. Joyce was a patient at our dental office for 21 years and during that time we got to know her as a friend as well as a client. A very gentle and gracious lady and we shall miss her visits. Happy memories are what will keep her close in our hearts.

Joyce was a valued member of our Book Club . She guided us, and organized our reading wonderfully well. She also regularly lunched with a group of long standing , and played Bridge with friends and organizations. We certainly will miss her !

  • Pat Brohman

I was saddened to hear of Joyce’s sudden passing. I enjoyed her company for many years and we had lots of great Bridge games together. My condolences to her family–especially her cousin Sharon.

  • Sally McGuire

My late mother Barbara Martin became friends with Joyce when they both moved to Victoria around 1994. They joined newcomers and continued to play bridge for the next 14 years until my mother became sick. They enjoyed nothing more than a good bridge game and discussing the latest books. Joyce came to my mother’s memorial last January and I’m so glad I was able to reminisce with her. She was truly a dear friend to my mum and I’m so sorry to hear of her passing.

  • Emma (Nichols) Manarin

Joyce and I first met in 1952 as roommates in Mont Apica, Quebec.. We travelled together and she was always a caring friend. Joyce liked a little bit of mischief once in awhile. Joyce had a very attention getting voice. I was shocked to hear that she was very seriously ill and passed away suddenly. Joyce had a great military career. I will have happy memories of our military days together. My condolences to Joyce’s family and friends.

  • Gina Campbell

I first met Joyce in 1967 while enrolled in Basic Training in Cornwallis NS. She lived in the airwomen’s barracks with the recruits. She was always kind and friendly, even to us lowly students. My condolences to her family.

  • Margo Tremblay

Sincere condolence on the passing of Joyce. She had a great life, she made many friends and she passed without causing
trouble to her family. I will be making a donation in her memory to Roger’s House, a charity which is part of the
    Ottawa Senators Foundation.

  • Marion (Maimie) White

Joyce was a Cpl. instructor at Clinton when I was a young 18 year old trainee. She was a good and pleasant influence in my young life, and also as we traveled similar paths in the military (both Commissioned). I always saw her smiling face at the various reunions I was able to attend. It was a shock to hear of her passing, and I send my condolences to her family and friends. She will always be a pleasant memory of my military years and family.

  • Donna Masse

I was so shocked to hear of Joyce’s passing as I had anticipated seeing her again at the Airwomens reunion.I first met Joyce approximately 42 years ago in Montreal where we were both employed at the same Military Headquarters. We often played cribbage on our lunch hour. She really preferred “bridge”.She had a lot of character and will be missed.
