October 31, 1937 – August 11, 2015

Mom began life in Radway, Alberta in humble circumstances as a farm girl and carried on her journey in Edmonton, Moose Jaw and Victoria. A quiet yet elegant woman, her life’s focus and triumph was her family which she nurtured with all her being. She experienced the joy of a large and close family yet was never personally gifted with good health and at the end suffered the closure of dementia.

She was predeceased by her parents Nixon and Marie Chorney; her sister Gloria; and her beloved son Peter. Left to mourn and be thankful for her love and care are her devoted husband John; sister Genie (Bunny); son David (Meredith) and daughter Janice. The joy of her life was her many grandchildren: Aaron (Andrea), Sarah, Corey, Deven, Quentin, Kellianne, Jesse (Tasha), Ashley, Alexander and Mark and the growing number of great grandkids.

The family wishes to thank her personal caregiver and friend Roma for her support. Mom will be dearly missed but we are happy she has been relieved of her afflictions and that she is caring for Peter again.

A private family service will be held.
