  1. Robert and Mary Brett on July 24th, 2009 11:30 am

Robert and Mary Brett wish to offer their condolences to Ann’s family.

We met Ann as fellow travellers on a garden tour of Ireland in May/June 2003 during which we shared our mutual love of flowers and gardens.

Later we met again on several occasions to admire her garden and enjoy her company while sharing other interests including various aspects of history and a wide variety of other topics. We will miss her.

    Sincerely, Robert and Mary

  2. BOB WOOTTON on July 25th, 2009 12:08 am

My heartfelt sympathy to all family. Ann was a very caring person and our lives overlapped occasionally when living in Victoria & attending UBC. So sorry I was unable to be present at her funeral. /
    Sincerly Bob Wootton

  3. David and Catherine Wootton on July 25th, 2009 12:44 pm

I have happy childhood memories of Ann at a number of Wootton family gatherings in Victoria. I did not associate with Ann in later years, but appreciate that she was a woman of values and convictions. I am sorry that I was not present at the memorial to express my condolences to you, her family. I now do so. God be with you all.

Ann was a large part of our exercise class – Joint Wellness – and brought her strength, wisdom and wonderful sense of humour. Despite her struggles with health she always maintained a smile and her “Oh well, you have to just get on with it” attitude.

Ann and Mary had many adventures together and support for each other. A great lesson for us all. Ann we will miss you. Julia
