May 1, 1944 – October 3, 2014
At home with family by his side, Doug was called to heaven. Predeceased by his mother, Rita; his father, Bert and brother, Rick. Survived by his ex-wife and friend, Jackie; his sister, Marjorie Thornton (Bob); daughters, Cheryl and Vicki (Rob); grandson, Darcy; granddaughters, Jacey and Rayane (Trevor) and three great-grandchildren. Doug was naturally willing to lend a hand and always grateful for the kindness of others. He will be greatly missed by family and friends. Special thanks to the ladies of We Care.
A Memorial Reception will be held at McCall Bros., Johnson & Vancouver Streets at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 15, 2014. Condolences may be offered to the family below.
