ELLIS, Donna (nee Pratt/Cuthbert) On Sunday, July 19, 2009 at 7:15 a.m. Donna passed away surrounded by the love of her daughters, Her nine week battle with cancer was courageous and handled with the ultimate grace. Donna joins her mother Evelyn, father Leslie and sister Fran in eternal peace. Her legacy is continued through her loving family, husband Lawrence Ellis; daughters, Jenny (Gregg) and Tammy (Jayson); and the sparkle in her eyes, grandchildren Mateo, Milyana and Chase. Donna will be greatly missed by many including siblings Randy, Gayle (Dave) and Nora (Gary); niece Sarah and nephews, Billy, Kyle and Travis; and several life long friends. Donna built a wonderful life for herself excelling in every area. Donna’s labor of love was her garden. She enjoyed taking tropical vacations, walks to Saxe Point with Larry and Magic and spending time with her grandchildren. She was a thoughtful mother, wonderful wife and a loyal friend. Please join us in celebration of our Mom’s beautiful life at McCall’s Floral Chapel, Johnson at Vancouver Street, on Thursday, July 23 at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers please donate to Victoria Hospice.

    I remember when we were young, hanging out in Sidney at the beach. Donna has always been a truly wonderful person. I was saddened at the news of her passing. I will miss her.
