He was also a great linemate in hockey and a close friend both on and off the ice. I will always cherish fond memories of our times together and consider myself a better person for having known him. • Rob O'Gorman, Capt (Ret'd)

I had the privilege of knowing Colin during my early years with 3 PPCLI at Work Point Barracks. Colin had a great love for people, his unit at the time (A Coy), and of course … his Honda Goldwing motorcycle. All of us were in awe as Colin would ride out on it through the front gate, enroute to his girlfriend’s (or the local watering hole). Despite the fact that he was only two years older than me, he took me under his wing; thus we always looked up to him – as one would an older (and much-loved) brother. When I think of the times we had together, I always think of him being the centre of the story, always laughing and joking. God-willing, I hope to see him again one day. What a very fine man!
