Died peacefully on March 22, 2013, after a difficult struggle with pneumonia. Pre-deceased by her parents, Steven and Rosy Chan; and her sister, Benita. Survived by her sister Adrienne, brother Tony (Wei), brother Reg (Eileen), and sister Vivian (Dan), nephews: David, Michael, Thoreau and Ibsen, and niece, Lian; many Chan and Wing cousins. Caroline was a devout member of St. John the Divine Anglican church who supported her in friendship and community. She had a sunny disposition and a loving spirit, for which she was deeply cherished.

Many thanks to Dr. Sanders, Dr. Perera, and the staff at Jubilee Hospital.

A service will be held at ST. JOHN THE DIVINE, 1611 Quadra Street, on Saturday, March 30, at 2pm. Donations may be made to the B.C. Lung Association.

    Dear Adrienne,
Losing someone you love is very hard. Dad and Beth told me the service was ‘in the spirit of Carol’ and that your eulogy captured your life with Carol beautifully. I am thinking of you.

Caroline was a sweet and helpful neighbour at St. John’s Court: I sat across the aisle from her in church and was awed by her patience and faith, while dealing with a nasty illness. She will be missed.

Looking at Carol’s face, she reflects the character and love of both her parents, Uncle Steve and Aunt Rosy. We will miss her smile and positive outlook in life. Rest in peace, Carol. Till we meet again!
