Dear Bill:
A short note to say how sorry I was to read of your wife's passing a few days ago. Know her illness was a protracted one and the road has not been easy for anyone ,nevertheless your loss will leave a large hole in your life. Sally and I share your sorrow and send our deepest sympathy to you and your family
              Sincerely ,Roger

Bill and family,

I was sadden to hear the passing of Betty. I have fond memories of the three of us having breakfast in the kitchen and enjoying that beautiful view. She was a very special person. My thoughts are with you during this difficult time.

Dear Bill, John, Joe and Families,

I have so many fond memories of growing up as your neighbour on Duart Road ~ Betty's warm smile and beautiful laugh are as clear to me today as if it were yesterday. She always made 'the kids' feel so welcome! Sending warm wishes and deepest sympathy to you all at this difficult time.

Dear Bill , John , Joe and Louise and the Scuby Family... even when you know the time is close, it does not dull the loss and the heartache. What a special person who treasured her husband, her sons and their partners and her precious grandchildren and great grandchild . God chooses the most beautiful flowers for his garden and today an elegant rose bush has appeared by his side. We miss her but know she is in good hands. Our love to you all. Rob and Jane

Reading the notice brought back memories of Capilano, where I grew up in the log house that your mother would have remembered well. I am the oldest son of Pearl Kinnie (nee Young). My mother died in Ladner May of 2005. She often spoke about her childhood and when she did she allways mention Molly and Betty Ellison. I knew the house that your mother and aunt lived in during that time on what became Gladwin Ave. This is now a part of the Upper Levels Highway.

As a child, every Sunday during good weather, we would walk from Capilano, over the old Keith Rd. bridge to West Vancouver to visit Mrs. Ellison at her home on Duchess Ave. near Taylorway.

I send you my deepest empathy on the passing of betty.

Yours turly
