Dear Aunt Pat, Dear Uncle Jim Gerry,
I’m so so sorry for your great Loss of Barbara Jane. But I’m so incredibly happy though for you and for Barbara that She and You were able to spend SO MUCh Quality Loveing Time together in the space where she felt OH so much at HOME .. that wonderful wonderful word and universe of Memories of Childhood of all their intimacies that we share and can only know between Child and Parent, daughter and Mom, Daughter and Father.. the shared colours and smells and most inside knowledge of how one lived together growing up, the joys and fears of teenage years.. the University times coming home, leaving, coming back home with stories and experience and LOVe new found after all that time away. And The Deep understanding of foibles and strengths of each other that allow for more human stretching of that emotional elastic band that is only possible within the family and its history and shared memories. I’m SO incredibly happy and proud of my Aunt and Uncle who had Barbara in their Nest .., their beautiful garden home almost to the end of her life. Obviously the place where Barbara felt safest and happiest and nurtured. I remember how wonderful your different homes over the years in Sarnia where she was a teenager with those lovely willows and the pond and dogs and wonderful rooms full of light and Always a garden so well kept. This sort of paradise for a child growing up and this incredible sense of safety and beauty and excellent food! and the lovely Humour of her dad and Mom was what she had and loved at the long and loving end of her life too. That home of loving parents to look out at the world as a window from must have allowed her to love and enjoy the beauty and emotional tenderness of life very much. Her wonderful brothers and sister with their GIFt of charming humorousness (I hope that is a word!) and lovely gift of talking and curiosity in all the arts allowed her a blessed and DEEP Life in the short time she was here, But I hope all the family can be comforted in this knowing that they gave so much and she gave back and was so happy in that relation. I wish I wasn’t living so far away in Germany but I send my love and Huge respect for family that is so loving and humane and deepüly involved in the important things of Love.
LOVE and SYmpathy and condolence. Longing to be able to be there in person.
Lelah Ferguson, your Niece and Cousin
    To Robert and Sandra. XOXO
