We are shocked and devastated to announce the unexpected passing of our beautiful and extraordinary daughter; Ashley, at the age of 24.
Ashley will forever be lovingly remembered and endlessly missed by her parents Brigette & Michael Henning, brothers Caleb & Jesse, sisters Angelica, Brittany, & Celine. Grandparents Bonnie (Frank) Donnelly, Bill (Neva) de Bruyn, Valarie (Camille) Turgeon. Gigi Helen Bowden, Uncle Ski, her loving boyfriend Dave, fur babies Poncho & Rampage, and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, extended family and many, many friends.
Ashley followed her dreams and achieved a double degree in Criminal Justice and Psychology. We were all so proud when she graduated with honors. She will always be remembered for her infectious laughter, amazing sense of style, endless concern for others, and her beautifully stunning smile.
Ashley was born and raised in Victoria and will be deeply missed by all that had the pleasure of knowing her. “You will always live on through the fond memories of all your friends and family. We are all so blessed to have had the time we did with you.”
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the SPCA.
A Celebration of Ashley’s Life will be held at McCall’s Floral Chapel, Johnson at Vancouver Streets on Monday, December 29, 2014 at 1:00 pm.

Leith Leslie Brigette, So saddened to hear this shocking news of Ashley, and wish I had been able to attend the funeral to offer reconnection and support. What a remarkable young woman, with good family and friends around her.
Thanks for reaching back and including us, old connections for both of you. I have such respect for you as a student and a person, and in all the ways you tackled your life after you left us.

Calla Payne I worked with Ashley for a short amount of time, but she made a big impact on me. We would spend our day at work chatting and laughing the whole time. I could always count on Ashley to make an otherwise boring day exciting and fun; whether we were quoting Finding Nemo or trying to decide on her next nail design. Wishing her family and all her loved ones all the best in this difficult time.

I know we never met in person maybe commented on some of ur sisters post but I can tell by that beautiful smile you lit up any room you walked into …. I couldn’t imagine losing a child and my heart aches for your parents and your family … Your step sisters are missing you very much along with the rest of your siblings and family… God must have some big plans for you in heaven to call you home so soon dear Ashley. Dave Miter Since the first day we met, me and Ashley were inseparable. She was my best friend and a truly loving girlfriend. She would always brighten my day and filled my life with love and joy. She was one of a kind and I don’t if I’ll ever meet someone quite like her again. I hope you are watching over us all in heaven because I will become a stronger man through this. Damian Dallyn Ashley was a part of my life from a day I can’t even remember, very young. We were great friends for years after through elementry, and a bit of high school, after going our separate ways Ashley was one person I could never forget. Seeing her a week prior to this is a huge shock to me. My love goes out to her and the family. You will be missed and your memory will go on. I cherish the times we had. Love Damian.
