To Doreen & Arthur’s family I first met Arthur a couple of years after he lost his wife. We had some very business dealings that were very pleasant. He was a soft spoken, gentle soul. He had a sweet sense of humour withlovely honesty and integrity. I would see him on occasion when he was visiting Doreen for tea or a meal. They were very supportive of each other. I know he appreciated her for all that she did for him. His warmth and kindness will be greatly missed.

Arthur and I both grew up in McBride, Arthur and his parents, Remoth and Teddie were our next door neighbours for many years. Arthur was much older than me, I remember him as a very shy, kind young man who loved to play baseball. Remoth adored her son who was her only child . My condolences to all the family and friends, my thoughts and prayers are with you .

Arthur and I share common roots in McBride BC. After I moved to Victoria in 1974, to also work for the Provincial Government, our paths crossed occasionally. We always had a cordial conversation, usually about McBride. We will miss him.

Blessings to all of you from Arizona. I am the Granddaughter of Ruth Webb. Ruth was Arthur’s Aunt. I do have a lot of memories with Arthur’s Mother, Auntie Remoth. My Auntie Remoth loved to spend time with me when I would visit her in Victoria. Her and I had a wonderful tradition of going for high tea down at the Empress. She would talk very highly of her son Arthur. I know he was very close to his mother. I remember Arthur sent me a beautiful card and message on my wedding day. God Bless, Shelley Yakubow.
