Antonio (Tony) Vesnaver

July 27, 1939 – November 29, 2011

It’s with great sadness that we announce the passing of Antonio (Tony) Vesnaver, who fought a courageous battle at Royal Jubilee Hospital in Victoria following a severe heart attack. Born in Trieste, Italy, on July 27, 1939, he is survived by his children, Gina and John, his ex-wife, Isabel, and his brother Bruno. A lifelong miner and a proud member of the Italian Cultural Centre, Tony will be missed by many in Campbell River, Vancouver and Trieste. A lover of animals, he will also be missed by his four-legged companion, Coal. Private family arrangements will be made to honour his life. Flowers gratefully declined, however, condolences for the family may be offered below.
