When I think of the Victoria Fringe I always think of Allan and his lovely smile and book of raffle tickets at the club each night. He was one of the first people to make Dan and I feel so welcome back in 2007 and he is very much part of the reason we love to return to Victoria whenever we can. Very sadly missed and a huge loss to the Arts community. x x

I will really miss Al. We worked together for many years and we had many good times together especially during the annual mining conferences. When joking around he always had a good comeback. He will always be in my thoughts.

I had the pleasure of working with Al at the Save On Foods Memorial Centre. He was always sure to swing by the ticketing office for a hello and was a welcome addition to any concert or game night. He was a real professional and all-around good guy. No longer at the arena, I have the comfort of remembering it how it was with Al there. Jen, I am so sorry for your loss. To you and your family and all friends of Al, I wish peace and happy memories always.

    Dear Alec, Carlie and Family,
We were saddened to hear of the loss of your father, father-in-law and grandpa. Please accept our condolences. The really nice thing about this is that he was surrounded by love in his last days and that he is now in Heaven with our Lord with his everlasting life .
Look after yourselves and know that he is where he is at peace and longed to be.

First met you while you were taking photos for AV, from then on brief encounters here and there, but man you leave a great impression. You have such a warm and accepting charisma, such a comforting and positive vibe. When Santa Claus is off from his gig, I think he becomes you.
Thank you for looking after all of us, don’t forget to laugh on our shows, jokes, and our lives whenever you catch it out there.
Again I wish I had more chance to hang with you and learn from the wiser.
Whenever you have some breaks from the euphoria, happiness, and peace, think of us, watch over us please.
See you later and see you around, Allan, Al. We miss you.

Al it was an honour knowing you. Every trip to the SOFA I would head straight to your perch at customer relations for a hug. You will be missed, but never forgotten. Thank you for always making me smile 🙂

I was very sad to hear of Al’s passing… He was such a great man with a great heart…. I knew Al for just over 7 years at the SOFMC – he was such a staple there and will definitely be missed by all who had the great pleasure to know him…. me being one of those people!….

RIP my sweet friend…. until we meet again!….

Thanks Al, for giving me the example of how to be a Scouter for Venturers and Rovers! You will always be one of those Scouters that I aspire to become!
I’m sorry to miss your celebration, but will be at camp with my Venturers and Rovers, so I know you will understand!

I was very saddened hearing of Allan’s passing. It was a pleasure knowing Allan, and working with in the Geological Survey Branch years past. He always made time for others, and had a gentle way in caring for others. He spoke so fondly of his family, and my heart is with you at this difficult time. I crossed paths with him over the last several years, when out and about in the West Shore. I’ll miss those impromptu meetings with his friendly smiling face.

You were an inspirational guy Allan, I enjoyed the brief time I spent with you; the trip to the diner, the hockey match, hanging out at The Mint, filming out and about… I’m grateful I got to record you on film, and I’m glad lots of people got to hear what you had to say…

Always a smile, a joke, a shared thought or a reminder of events to come. You will always be remembered my friend with great and cheerful thoughts and memories.
    Happy trails, pardner.

I am so very sorry for Allan’s passing. In the short time I knew him he was always happy to see … well, everyone. I noticed his enduring support for the VEC and the scene that centers around there, and thought of him as a really cool, supportive and proud papa to Jen. We chatted a few times and he was always quick with a compliment and upbeat, even after getting out of the hospital. I genuinely wish I’d gotten to know him a lot better, I’m finding out so much now and really appreciate all he did for this town.

I love you daddy. You were the best father anyone could ever ask for. I don’t even know what I’ll do now without you here to call at any time. You were always so helpful to me, especially in the last year when I’ve really been struggling financially and emotionally. I started crying yesterday thinking that I would never receive another birthday present from you. You were always so thoughtful and spoiled me way too much. Not to mention all the trips you took me on where you wouldn’t let me pay a dime. I am going to miss you so much. But I know you are at peace now, and hopefully playing scrabble with meg and setting off potato cannons with john, up in the sky. You will always be the most important man in my life. I love you so much. I will think of you every day. Rest in peace pops xx

    AL:
You always had a smile and a joke and had a new epic tie every time I saw you at a concert/event at the Save On Foods Center.
Your love for life will live on in your family, I am blessed to know one of your children and she is amazing.
Many blessings and Rest In Paradise.
