Mum died peacefully in her sleep at Broadmead Lodge in Victoria on October 31, 2014.  She was born in Calgary on April 19, 1920.  She is survived by her son, Ted (Monika) of Victoria and daughter, Deborah Hartwick (Clark) of Victoria; her grandchildren, Kristin Little (Derek), Jessica Larouche (Jeff), Emily Hartwick and Peter Hartwick and her great-grandchildren, Annika and Turner Little and Sophie and Sally Larouche.

Addie married Ted Semmens during the war and they remained married for 72 years.  Being a navy wife, Mum moved across the country many, many times making friends wherever she went.  She was a volunteer for the Garth Homer Society, The Royal Jubilee Hospital and a long time member of St. John the Divine Anglican Church serving on the Altar Guild.

Mum loved her family and made everyone feel as comfortable as possible.  We are all so lucky to have had this exceptional woman take care of us for so long.

The family wishes to thank Dr. Russell Grimwood and the caring staff at Broadmead Lodge for their kind attention to Mum.

A Memorial Service will be held at St. John the Divine Anglican Church, 1611 Quadra Street, Victoria on Tuesday, November 18, 2014 at 1:00 pm followed by a reception in the Parish House, Denson Lounge.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. John the Divine Anglican Church.

My Late husband. John Till, RCN, was a Communications officer and when he took his “Long C” speciaist course at HMCS CornWallis Ted was the officer in charge of the Communications School. He and Addie were a highly respected couple and Addie was well known for her warmth and sense of fun. Happily, our paths crossed several times during our Naval life .

Addie is remembered by all with much affection.
My deepest sympathy to her family.
