LUCAS, Kathleen Jacqueline “Kay” (nee Johnson) passed away peacefully at Victoria General Hospital on May 24, 2006 at the age of 97 years. Predeceased by her dearly beloved husband, Dr. Oscar Charles Lucas, and son, Roger Charles Lucas. Survived by her daughter, Anne Walker (Bill); her grandchildren, Kathleen Dennis-Walker (Richard) and Bruce Walker (Tania); and great-grandchildren, Linda and Elizabeth. A long-time member of the University Women’s Club, Kathleen enjoyed her garden, painting, and a game of Scrabble. Special thanks to the staff at Berwick House, her home for many years, and the nurses on Ward 6C of the Victoria General Hospital for their warm and tender care. A celebration of Kathleen’s life will be held at McCall Bros. Family Chapel, Johnson and Vancouver Sts., at 10:00 a.m., May 26, 2006. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Renal Unit of the Victoria General Hospital.
