EFFA – Magdalen passed away in Victoria, Easter Sunday 2005. She was born in Prelate, Saskatchewan in 1916. “Madalen” was predeceased by her husband Alix in 1991. She is survived by her daughters Sharon Courtney of Walnut Creek CA. Doreen Effa of Sooke B. C.; grandson Kevin Courtney (Terry); great grand children Aiden and Erin.

Passed away peacefully in Victoria on March 23, 2005 after a lengthy illness. Frank was born in Quang Tong, China on December 7, 1936 and came to Canada in 1986.
Frank is survived by 2 sons, 2 daughters, and grandchildren in China. He leaves behind a brother, Steven See Sang (Bernice Oi Lan), nieces, a nephew, a great-niece and a great-nephew in Victoria.
The family wishes to give a heartfelt thank-you to Lorne and Jan Webb for their special friendship and care of Frank.
Funeral service to be held at MCCALL BROS. FAMILY CHAPEL Johnson & Vancouver Streets, on Friday, April 1, 2005 at 1:00 pm with interment to follow at Royal Oak Burial Park.

Marion Isabel Edmison (nee Thomson)

Marion Isabel Edmison (nee Thomson) passed away peacefully at Central Park Lodge, Victoria on March 19, 2005 at the age of 89.
Born in Arcola Saskatchewan, Marion was educated at Brandon College and Ontario College of Education. Marion married Jack Edmison in 1938 and enjoyed 60 wonderful years of marriage until Jack passed away in 1999.
After early years in Toronto, Winnipeg and Portland, Marion and Jack settled in Victoria in 1951. Marion and Jack were active members of the Victoria medical, golf and Gyro communities where they developed friendships with a wide variety of people.
Marion and Jack are remembered by their only son, Kelly Edmison of Vancouver and his wife Susan and their children Janet and John.
There will not be a funeral. However, a private celebration of Marion’s life will be held at a later date. Flowers are gratefully declined. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to the Victoria YM-YWCA or the Victoria Symphony.
