Clarence Talyer of Brentwood Bay

Tayler – Clarence F. died on March 10, 2004 in Victoria. He was born on July 9, 1914 in Regina, Sask. Predeceased by his beloved wife of 64 years and best friend, Mary in 2001; his parents, Frederick and Clara Tayler; sisters, Marion Greenard, Gertrude Phillips, and Estelle Nobel; and brother, Clive.

Clarence is survived by his son, James (Margaret); granddaughters, Suzanne (Kevin Beckner) of Kingston, ON and Laura (Ryan) Tayler-Hanson of North Vancouver; great granddaughter, Maggie Beckner; brother, Lorne (Agnes) of Santa Monica, CA; brother-in-law, Thomas (Lois) Heppell; nieces, Gertrude Courtney, Marilyn Tayler, Janice (Klaus) Vogel and Patrice Heppell (Fred Patterson); nephews, Fred Greenard, Gordon Phillips, Michael (Vivi) Heppell, Thomas (Marguerite) Heppell and Robin Heppell; and many other relatives and friends.

Clarence worked for Mac and Mac for many years before opening C. Tayler Home Appliance with Mary. After operating the store for 20 years, Mary and Clarence retired to Brentwood Bay, where they enjoyed their four loves: fishing on the Avon, beautifying their garden, being surrounded by their family near and far, and especially their love for each other.

A private family service will be held.
