ZELMER, Dennis Ronald – Born in Winnipeg, MB on May 12, 1931. Went to be with his Lord on March 27, 2004. Dennis leaves to remember and celebrate his life, his childhood sweetheart and beloved wife, Marlene. They were married for 51 years; sons, David (Rhonda), Gerald (Maureen) and Robert; grandchildren, Joseph, Samuel, Daniel, Michael, Stephen and Carrie; brothers, Glen (Muriel) and Norman (Gwen).
His life centred around his loving family, church and careers. His secular was mostly law enforcement as well as 22 years with T. Eaton Co. He graduated from Northwest Baptist Theological

It is with great sadness that our family announces the passing of our dear father on March 21, 2004. Lovingly remembered by his wife of 59 years Margaret; daughters, Frances (Kazik), Theo (Tom); son, Tom (Laurie); and grandchildren, Tia, Rhea, Devin and Isis and great-granddaughter Danni; sisters, Lillian (Howard) Hunter and Elizabeth (Sidney)Astle. — (Toronto); sisters-in-law; Trudy Wolfe (Winnipeg) and Eleanor Kalichak (Dauphin); Special nieces Carol and Linda and nephew Barry; predeceased by his parents, brothers, Adam, Albert and Edmund and sister Rose.
1923 — Born on October 5th in Dauphin, Manitoba, the youngest son of Andrew and Frances Kalichak.
1942 — In May, following high school, he joined the Royal Canadian Navy as Ordinary Seaman. Completed a Naval Commando Course.
1944 — In August, survived the torpedoing of the aircraft carrier, HMS NABOB, off the Norwegian coast.
1945 — Selected to participate in the 8th Victory Bond Drive.
1945 — In August, married Margaret Hayes of Trail, B.C. then a member of the CWAC.
1950 — In April, enrolled in the Royal Canadian Navy (Reserve) as an Acting Sub Lieutenant.
1952 — Graduated from the University of British Columbia with a Bachelor of Arts degree.
1959 — November, promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander.
1969 — Honourably Retired from the Canadian Armed Forces in the rank of Lieutenant-Commander following service which included the Directorate of Security and Intelligence at National Defense Headquarters, Ottawa and on the staff of the Flag Officer Pacific Coast in Esquimalt.
1969 — 1970 — Served as Secretary-Treasurer of the B.C. Liquor Inquiry Commission.
1970 — 1971 — Served as Assistant to the President of Uncle Ben’s Tartan Breweries.
1972 — 1984 — Served as Administrator with the Law Firm of Achtem Alexander.
1992 — Awarded the Commemorative Medal for the 125th Anniversary of the Confederation of Canada.
A Reception will be held to honour our dear father at the Officers Mess CFB Esquimalt Wardroom Building 586 Esquimalt Road on Friday March 26th 2 — 4pm.
The family would like to say a special thank you to the nurses and staff at RJH for the kindness and respectful way they cared for our father.

GAUDETTE, June Beatrice (nee Leggett) passed away at the Royal Jubilee Hospital on March 14, 2004 at the age of 70 years. Born in Victoria on May 21, 1933 she was predeceased by her parents, George and Bea Leggett; and her sister, Betty Purcell. June is lovingly remembered by her husband of 46 years, Gerald; and her children; George (Margaret), Karen (Rod) and Michael; grandchildren, Selina and Marty; sister, Bobby Carlson; aunt, Mary Dill; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to thank the staff and doctors at the Royal Jubilee Hospital during her last illness.
